FIRST TIME ON SET: A Runner’s Journey

*I got to mess around with the camera*

Stepping onto the set of a competition show for the first time was a whirlwind of emotions. I started out nervous, uncertain about how I would fit into this fast-paced world. As a runner, my tasks were varied and often demanding, keeping the crew supplied and ready, and assisting wherever needed. Initially, it was overwhelming.

However, as the days progressed, I found my footing. The experience gave me a behind-the-scenes look at the industry with real-world eyes. I learned that the chaotic energy of the set was filled with camaraderie and collaboration. My confidence grew with each task I completed, and I began to see the beauty in the bustling environment.

One of the highlights of this journey was the bond I formed with my fellow runners. We were all in the same boat, navigating this new experience together, and it brought us close. Those friendships became a support system, turning stress into laughter and challenges into opportunities to learn from each other.

By the end of the production, I had a newfound appreciation for the industry's inner workings and the incredible team effort behind every show. It was a transformative experience that shaped my perspective and left me with lasting memories and friendships.

I am excited to take what I've learned from this experience into my own work. The lessons in teamwork, resilience, and attention to detail will undoubtedly influence my future projects, helping me create even more compelling and polished content.
